Beta-Series Light Shuttles

While TSC's Beta-series shuttles lack hyperdrives and are too compact for extended passenger trips, they make for a dependable low-budget way to move people or cargo between ground and orbit, or between two larger ships. All models feature wings for stabilized atmospheric flight that fold inwards to save space when landing. A-type layouts are for carrying passengers (or troops), while B-type layouts are for carrying cargo.

Beta-5 Light Shuttle

The small size of the Beta-5 Light Shuttle makes it the go-to choice in situations where any ship larger than a starfighter simply wouldn't fit. In situations where size is not a factor, the Beta-5 offers little advantage over other light shuttles.

S-Series Light Transports

Known for their compact design, TSC's S-series of light transports constitute some of the smallest feasible interstellar freighters and passenger ships on the market.

S-20 Light Transport

More akin to a personal transport with extra storage space rather than a light freighter or shuttle, the S-20 Light Transport nonetheless sees widespread use as a shipping vehicle, filling the niche for transports where quantity is not a deciding factor.

Though small and only lightly armed, the S-20 is the most agile member of the S-series, and with the frequent addition of combat thrusters or additional maneuvering jets, the S-20 handles more like a bulky starfighter than a light freighter.

S-35 Light Transport

Packing in a surprising amount of cargo despite its compact shape, the S-35 Light Transport is one of the best options for those looking for a light freighter that maximizes the ratio of goods shipped to supplies and crew members needed, and is frequently encountered operating with a skeleton crew of just one.

S-45 Light Transport

Though it features a relatively small cargo capacity for its size relative to the rest of the S-series, the S-45 Light Transport is a good choice for those looking more into carrying passengers than cargo.

Thanks to its small size and versatile shape, the speed and payload of many S-45s are often improved through personal modifications to help deter piracy.

S-50 Light Transport

Though its bulky shape leads to difficult handling in atmospheres and makes it something of an eyesore, the solid construction and respectable armament of the S-50 Light Transport are enough for it to remain a popular choice for small-time cargo and passenger haulers.

CI-Series Light Freighters

Slightly outperforming the market average, TSC's versatile CI-series of light freighters come equipped with enough propulsion, armaments, and defenses to allow them to be easily repurposed for a wide variety of the galaxy's shipping needs.

U-Series Light Freighters

A step up from the CI-series models in terms of freight capacity, TSC's U-series light freighters offer some of the best options for maximizing the cargo-to-cost ratio without giving up too much in the way of speed or fighting ability. All ships in the U-series include a garage capable of holding a speeder or small starfighter.

J-Series Medium Freighters

J-series medium freighters come with more cargo space and more dedicated passenger amenities than TSC's light freighters and transports, bridging the gap between small independent tramp haulers and larger corporate heavy freighters.

Zeta-Series Corvettes

Zeta-1700 Corvette

The Zeta-1700 Corvette is intended as an all-purpose mid-class starship, with multiple layout variations available on the market. When fitted for freight (or passenger) hauling, the Zeta-1700 makes for a spacious heavy freighter while still retaining the ability to hold it's own in combat if required. When outfitted for combat, the Zeta-1700 makes an excellent escort ship or troop transport as part of a larger navy, or is able to be used independently as a light frigate or system patrol craft.

There are four basic layouts available for the Zeta-1700, with many more options available through aftermarket modifications.

Zeta-1700A — Standard Configuration

The Z-1700A achieves a balanced mix of freight, passenger, and combat capabilities. Potentially useful for transport operations near war-zones or areas with heavy piracy, or as military craft that can also be called upon to serve non-combat duties.

Zeta-1700B — Passenger Configuration

The Z-1700B comes complete with all the amenities needed for average-quality passenger voyages, providing a better atmosphere and overall experience than travelling steerage in a cargo freighter. Passenger quarters can be upgraded to luxury suites, though this decreases the overall passenger capacity. The layout of the Z-1700B is like that of the Z-1700A but with the troop quarters and part of the hangar and cargo areas converted to passenger quarters.

Zeta-1700C — Freight Configuration

The Z-1700C configuration guts most of the lower decks in order to make room for cargo, without giving anything up in the way of firepower when compared with the Z-1700A. The layout of the Z-1700C is like that of the Z-1700A but with the troop and passenger quarters and part of the hangar converted to additional cargo bays.

Zeta-1700D — Combat Configuration

The Z-1700D is well suited to a wide variety of combat situations, provided it is not brought face to face with larger capital ships unsupported. Its turbolasers and missiles allow the Z-1700D to hold it's own against similar-sized ships, while its point-defense weapons and compliment of starfighters keep it from being vulnerable to swarms of enemy fighters, and its troop quarters allow it to support boarding or ground-based operations as well. The layout of the Z-1700D is like that of the Z-1700A but with passenger quarters and part of the cargo areas converted to additional troop quarters and an expanded hangar bay.
